UWED representatives took part in the international scientific and practical conference on modern environmental policy

On May 30 this year, the Uzbek State University of World Languages hosted an international scientific and practical conference on the topic “Modern environmental policy: from national experience to a global solution”.
The conference discussed topical problems in the field of ecology, innovative approaches and issues of international cooperation.
This prestigious event, along with UWED Professor Etibor Sultanova and Associate Professor Suriya Turaeva, was attended by leading specialists and scientists in the field of ecology and politics, who made presentations on topical issues.
The conference was also attended by such foreign experts as Professor of York University (Canada) Nivedita Das Kundu, Professor of RISEBA University (Latvia) Muhammad Ramzan Ali, representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erkin Baydarov, representatives of India Bina Qirad and Anoop Kadavat, representative of Osh State University (Kyrgyzstan) Saikal Ibraimova.
Within the framework of the conference, four breakout sessions were held: “International Cooperation in the Field of Ecology: Problems and Solutions”, “Environmental Policy and Economic Relations”, “Social Significance and Environmental Literacy”, “Legal Foundations of Modern Environmental Policy”. They were attended by domestic and foreign scientists, industry specialists, representatives of ministries and departments, as well as students.
Within the framework of the event, issues included in the agenda of the State Program “Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy”, the “Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy, the climate forum held in Samarkand on April 4-5 this year, COP28 and the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union were analyzed.
During the conference, proposals and recommendations were put forward to eliminate environmental risks, strengthen international cooperation and develop innovative solutions.
