    UWED team joined prestigious arbitration moot in Hong Kong

              From March 30 to April 6 of this year, students from the Faculty of International Law at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy — Bokhodir Dadaev, Kamronbek Shermetov, Kamola Usmonova, and Shokhjakhon Khaydarqulov — participated in the 22nd Annual Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot, dedicated to international sale of goods and international commercial arbitration.

            This prestigious competition, held in Hong Kong, saw around 160 teams from leading universities worldwide. In this highly competitive environment, the UWED team demonstrated deep knowledge of international commercial arbitration, strong analytical skills, and eloquence worthy of legal professionals.

            The success of our university’s team in this competition was made possible by the invaluable support of experienced mentors and teachers. Specifically, Tino Hannes Wasner from Germany, Kamron Turabekov, a lawyer from the “LegalMax” law firm in Tashkent, as well as Sherzodbek Masadikov and Dilfuza Imamova, lecturers in the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law at UWED, actively contributed to the students’ preparation and their participation in the event.

Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot is an annual international competition held in Hong Kong, aimed at developing students’ knowledge and practical skills in international commercial arbitration and law. Today, it is recognized as one of the most prestigious competitions in the field of international private law.
