On May 12 this year, the opening ceremony of advanced training courses for young employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman was held at the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the leadership of the UWED and the Diplomatic Academy, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of this country Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi.

 

First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the UWED, Akram Umarov, noted that in recent years there has been a strengthening of Uzbek-Omani bilateral ties, and the opening of the courses marks the beginning of a new chapter in diplomatic relations between the two countries. According to him, young diplomats of the Sultanate of Oman will gain knowledge and skills for successful work in global diplomacy, including the study of Central Asia and Uzbekistan.

“We are confident in successful cooperation to achieve our goals”, A. Umarov emphasized.

Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi noted in her speech that the progress in relations between the two countries is pleasing and motivates diplomats to work hard.

“The launch of the Diplomatic Exchange Program is a significant achievement that affects the future of international relations”, she said.

In turn, the head of the GCC and Regional Neighborhood Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, welcoming the participants of the event, noted that these courses mark the beginning of the path for young diplomats and serve to strengthen the partnership between Oman and Uzbekistan.

For information: As part of the advanced training courses for young diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman from May 12 to 17, teachers and professors of the UWED and the Diplomatic Academy will be involved in the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Following the results, it is planned to hold a round table on the prospects of Uzbek-Omani relations.
