On July 6, 2024, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres met with the participants of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy organized by the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).

Otabek Turgunboev, a 2^nd-year student of the faculty of “International Law”, a member of the UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy, took part in the event.

He gave a speech at the meeting on the topic “Using transboundary waters in Central Asia: international legal cooperation and future plans”.

According to the results of the meeting, O. Turgunboev was awarded the status of “Leader of the Prvevntive Diplomacy Academy from Uzbekistan”. He also became the “Ambassador of Preventive Diplomacy” in Uzbekistan.
