On 29 October 2026, as part of the teaching of the course “Private International Law,” Dilfuza Imamova, Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law Disciplines at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, participated as a guest expert and conducted a master class for fourth-year students of Tashkent State University of Law on “International Carriage of Goods and Passengers”.

During the master class, Dilfuza Imamova addressed key issues concerning the international legal and conflict-of-laws regulation of the international carriage of goods, passengers, and baggage. Drawing on examples from her own legal practice, she examined current issues and disputes arising in the course of international carriage by various modes of transport involving goods, passengers, and baggage.

The students acquired not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills through the analysis of real-life legal situations and practical cases. They showed strong interest in the master class, actively participated in discussions, and asked questions about the practical application of private international law in the international carriage of goods, passengers, and baggage by various modes of transport. All questions received substantive and well-reasoned answers.

The master class contributes to the achievement of SDG 16, “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” particularly Target 16.3, which aims to promote the rule of law and ensure equal access to justice for all. The study of issues relating to the international legal and conflict-of-laws regulation of international carriage contributes to fostering the legal awareness of future lawyers and deepening their understanding of the mechanisms for the legal protection of parties involved in international transport relations.

The event is also aligned with SDG 17, “Partnerships for the Goals,” particularly Target 17.6, which provides for strengthening international cooperation in science, technology, and innovation. Cooperation between universities and the exchange of professional experience contribute to the development of practice-oriented education, the strengthening of academic ties, and the expansion of cooperation in legal education.

The master class made a significant contribution to improving the educational process, developing students’ professional competencies, and strengthening cooperation between the academic community and legal practice in the context of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
