On 28 October 2026, the Central Asian International Education Forum, themed “Central Asia — A New Hub for Education, Science and Innovation,” was held at the Uzbekistan International Forums Palace in Tashkent.

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) was actively represented at the event by Jingyi Dong and Akbikesh Mukhtarova, foreign lecturers at the Department of Political Science, and Khojimurod Anvarov, Chief Specialist of the Office of International Academic Cooperation.

The Forum served as an important platform for strengthening regional ties in education and science, facilitating the exchange of best practices, and exploring new opportunities for cooperation among higher education institutions across Central Asia.

During the event, UWED representatives exchanged views with representatives of foreign universities and international experts, discussing prospects for cooperation in education. They also explored opportunities to expand the University's international partnerships, establish new areas of collaboration, and develop mutually beneficial academic ties.

The Forum addressed key issues, including improving the quality of higher education, advancing joint research, supporting innovation, and taking regional academic cooperation to a new level.

UWED's participation in the Forum marked another step towards expanding the University's international academic network, identifying new partnership opportunities, and strengthening regional integration in education and science across Central Asia.
