SDG 4 and SDG 9: UWED Lecturer Presents Research on Differential Games at Institute of Mathematics Seminar

On 13 May 2026, Madina Kazakova, a lecturer at the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modelling of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, presented a research talk titled “The Planar Pursuit-Evasion Game with Rigid Segments” at the research seminar “Mathematical Models of Conflict Processes.” The seminar is run by the Dynamical Systems and Their Applications laboratory of the V.I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and led by Academician Abdulla Azamov and Professor G.I. Ibragimov. It was held in person at the institute and online via Zoom.
The talk used differential game theory to analyse a mathematical model of conflict processes, the moves of the pursuer and the evader, and the interaction between them. Models of this kind can provide a theoretical basis for applied problems in control, optimization, motion planning and the modelling of complex dynamic processes.
The activity supports Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education (targets 4.3 and 4.4): presenting research at a scientific seminar promotes knowledge exchange in higher education and research and builds advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
The research also contributes to target 9.5 of SDG 9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, which calls for enhancing scientific research, building research capacity and supporting innovation.
