On 15 April 2026, Sh.Usmanova, a lecturer at the Department of English Language of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, conducted an interactive lesson titled &ldquo;Developing English Language Skills&rdquo; for students at School No. 241.
Through group discussions, practical tasks, and interactive activities, students developed their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English.
The initiative aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), supporting the development of students&rsquo; language skills and broader educational opportunities.

On October 23, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), in cooperation with the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and the UWED Advisory Council on Women&rsquo;s Affairs, organized a roundtable discussion entitled &ldquo;Green Consumption &mdash; A Step Towards a Healthy Lifestyle.&rdquo;
The event was held within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and focused on healthy lifestyles, gender equality, responsible consumption, and environmental protection.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks by Professor E. Sultanova, Chair of the UWED Advisory Council on Women&rsquo;s Affairs. She emphasized that fostering environmental awareness and developing conscious and responsible consumption habits among young people and women are important factors in achieving sustainable development.
The roundtable brought together members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, experts, university professors and lecturers, and students.
The presentations addressed green consumption and environmental transformation, the impact of environmental factors on women&rsquo;s health, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
Following the presentations, participants engaged in a lively question-and-answer session. Students shared their views and suggestions on addressing environmental challenges, using resources responsibly in everyday life, and maintaining good health.
Participants noted that events of this kind help raise environmental awareness among young people, particularly women, and encourage their active involvement in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

23 октября текущего года в Университете мировой экономики и дипломатии (УМЭД) состоялся круглый стол на тему &laquo;Зелёное потребление - шаг к здоровому образу жизни&raquo;, организованный совместно Экологической партией Узбекистана и Консультативным советом УМЭД по вопросам женщин.
Мероприятие прошло в рамках Целей устойчивого развития (ЦУР) Организации Объединённых Наций. В ходе встречи обсуждались вопросы здорового образа жизни, гендерного равенства, ответственного потребления и охраны окружающей среды.
С приветственным словом мероприятие открыла председатель Консультативного совета УМЭД по вопросам женщин, профессор Э. Султанова. В своём выступлении она подчеркнула, что формирование экологической культуры и развитие навыков осознанного и ответственного потребления среди молодёжи и женщин являются важными факторами устойчивого развития.
В круглом столе приняли участие депутаты Законодательной палаты Олий Мажлиса, представители Экологической партии Узбекистана, эксперты, профессора и преподаватели университета, а также студенты.
В ходе выступлений были освещены вопросы зелёного потребления и экологической трансформации, влияния экологических факторов на здоровье женщин, а также формирования здорового образа жизни.
После докладов состоялась оживлённая дискуссия в формате вопросов и ответов. Студенты поделились своими мнениями и предложениями по решению экологических проблем, рациональному использованию ресурсов в повседневной жизни и сохранению здоровья.
Участники отметили, что подобные мероприятия способствуют повышению экологической осведомлённости молодёжи, в особенности женщин, а также содействуют их активному участию в достижении Целей устойчивого развития.

Tadbir Birlashgan Millatlar Tashkilotining Barqaror rivojlanish maqsadlari (BRM) doirasida oʻtkazilib, unda sogʻlom turmush tarzi, gender tengligi, masʼuliyatli isteʼmol va atrof-muhitni muhofaza qilish masalalari muhokama qilindi.
Tadbirni JIDU Xotin-qizlar masalalari boʻyicha maslahat kengashi raisi, professor E. Sultanova kirish soʻzi bilan ochib berdi. E.Sultanova ekologik madaniyatni shakllantirish, yoshlar va xotin-qizlar orasida ongli, masʼuliyatli isteʼmol koʻnikmalarini rivojlantirish barqaror taraqqiyotning muhim omili ekanini taʼkidladi.
Davra suhbatida Oliy Majlis Qonunchilik palatasi deputatlari, Ekologik partiya vakillari, mutaxassislar, universitet professor-oʻqituvchilari va talabalari ishtirok etdi. Maʼruzalarda yashil isteʼmol va ekologik transformatsiya, ekologik omillarning xotin-qizlar salomatligiga taʼsiri hamda sogʻlom turmush tarzini shakllantirish masalalari yoritildi.
Maʼruzalardan soʻng savol-javob tarzida qizgʻin muhokama boʻlib oʻtdi. Talabalar ekologik muammolar, kundalik hayotda resurslardan oqilona foydalanish va sogʻliqni asrash boʻyicha oʻz fikr va takliflarini bildirdilar.
Ishtirokchilar bunday tadbirlar yoshlar, xususan, xotin-qizlarning ekologik ongini yuksaltirish va Barqaror rivojlanish maqsadlariga erishishdagi faol ishtirokini taʼminlashga xizmat qilishini qayd etdilar.

Career guidance services include individual and group consultations aimed at supporting students in career planning, professional orientation, and preparation for employment. These services help students better understand their strengths, interests, and career goals, while providing practical tools for entering the labour market.

The support covers CV and cover letter preparation, interview skills development, and guidance on effective job search strategies. Students are also provided with up-to-date information on labour market trends, employer expectations, and in-demand skills, enabling them to make informed career decisions and enhance their employability.

The university organises skills development workshops and training sessions designed to enhance students' practical, applied, and transferable skills required in the modern labour market. These activities complement academic learning and help students develop competencies relevant to professional environments.

Workshops are conducted with the involvement of HR professionals, industry experts, representatives of leading companies, banks, public institutions, international organisations, and other external stakeholders. UWED also invites specialists from major employers, including representatives of the Big Four and other prominent organisations, to share professional insights, labour market expectations, and practical advice with students.

The sessions focus on areas such as communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, digital competencies, job search preparation, and broader professional development. UWED organises, coordinates, and monitors internship placements as an essential component of students' academic and professional development. Internship opportunities are provided through a broad network of partner organisations, ensuring that students gain practical experience aligned with their field of study and labour market requirements.

The university collaborates with a wide range of partners, including government institutions, ministries, international organisations, banks, research institutes, think tanks, and leading academic institutions. Key partners include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, as well as leading research centres and policy institutions.

A qualifying internship is a mandatory part of the academic programme for students in their 3rd and 4th years of study:
• for 3rd-year students – during the summer period;
• for 4th-year students – during the winter period.

The duration of the internship typically ranges from 5 to 10 weeks, depending on the programme and academic requirements.

UWED regularly organises structured career events designed to connect students and graduates with employers and to facilitate dialogue on labour market expectations, internship opportunities, and entry-level recruitment requirements. Over recent years, the format of these events has been progressively refined in response to stakeholder needs and feedback.

In 2023, the university held a university-wide Career Day in a job fair format, bringing together more than 75 public and private organisations. The event supported graduate employment and enabled direct interaction between students, graduates, and employers through employer booths, consultations, and interviews.

In 2024, UWED continued the university-wide Career Day / Job Fair format with participation of more than 50 leading organisations, including ministries, state agencies, banks, consulting firms, and private companies.

In 2025, UWED introduced a more targeted approach through faculty-based Career Days, allowing employers to engage directly with specific academic programmes and student profiles. In the same year, the university also launched [UWED Career Fair 2025](/news/1081) / Career Week, with a stronger focus on private-sector engagement, combining employer sessions, soft skills and career development activities, and a large-scale career fair with direct recruitment interaction.

They also serve as an important platform for strengthening university-employer cooperation and expanding professional opportunities for students and graduates.

An important platform for this work is the [Digital Education and Startup Acceleration Center](/divisions/66), which was opened at UWED in 2022 as part of the university's broader efforts to strengthen digital transformation and student innovation. The centre operates as an educational and startup development unit under the university and contributes to the creation of a more dynamic and innovation-oriented campus environment.

Dedicated facilities have been allocated for the centre on campus, including a 60-seat interactive classroom, a meeting room for discussions and brainstorming, coworking space, and a specialised room for project presentations. These spaces provide students with a practical environment for collaboration, learning, and project development.

Through the centre, students can participate in consultations, competitions, hackathons, workshops, and incubation activities aimed at helping them refine ideas and develop viable startup projects.
