UWED and KOICA Advance the Development of E-Learning at the University

On October 6, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a Project Steering Committee meeting under its joint initiative with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). During the meeting, the Master Plan for the development of e-Learning was reviewed.
The project, scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2029, aims to promote the digital transformation of education, introduce modern teaching technologies, and create favorable conditions for the further development of online learning.
The initiative includes the development of digital learning materials for 60 courses, the modernization of six classrooms, the establishment of specialized e-Learning studios, the provision of necessary technical equipment, and professional development opportunities for university faculty and staff in Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
The Master Plan outlines the phased introduction of blended learning, the expansion of online education opportunities, and the establishment of the necessary conditions for the long-term development of a Cyber University.
Supported by KOICA, the project represents an important step toward transforming UWED into a modern Smart University and strengthening international cooperation in digital education.
