Practical Fire Safety Training Held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Student Dormitory

A practical fire safety training exercise was organized at the student dormitory of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) in cooperation with representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The training aimed to promote compliance with fire safety regulations, prevent emergencies, and develop students' practical skills in responding appropriately to emergency situations.
The primary objective of the training was to raise fire safety awareness among students, emphasize the importance of strictly observing safety regulations in residential facilities, and strengthen practical knowledge and skills for responding promptly and effectively to emergencies.
During the training, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations provided detailed explanations of the main causes of fires, preventive measures, the safe operation of electrical appliances, the importance of avoiding electrical circuit overloads, and compliance with established fire safety requirements. Particular emphasis was placed on encouraging students living in the dormitory to adopt a responsible approach to safety in their daily lives, maintain order in shared spaces, and remain vigilant about potentially hazardous situations.
The practical component of the training focused on appropriate actions in the event of a fire, including remaining calm, evacuating the building safely, using designated evacuation routes correctly, alerting fellow students, and promptly contacting the relevant emergency services. Participants also received essential guidance on immediately notifying responsible staff members upon detecting a fire, moving to a safe area, and following the instructions of emergency response specialists.
In addition, practical demonstrations were conducted on the use of firefighting equipment, including explanations of its purpose and proper operation. Students were informed about the importance of making sound decisions in emergency situations, protecting their own lives and the safety of others, and adhering to established safety requirements and precautions.
The training exercise contributed to improving students' knowledge of emergency preparedness and response, strengthening their practical fire safety skills, and fostering a safe living environment in the university's student dormitory.
The University of World Economy and Diplomacy places particular emphasis on protecting the lives and health of its students, ensuring safe living conditions, and implementing preventive measures aimed at reducing the risk of emergencies. Practical training exercises conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations play an important role in promoting a culture of safety among students and enhancing their preparedness to respond effectively to emergency situations.
