On September 19 of this year, an intellectual ideas contest entitled “IDEATHON: Made in Uzbekistan 2035 — What should Uzbekistan produce for the world?” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) within the framework of the "International Investment Law" course. The event was organized on the initiative of Solikha Abdurakhimova, a lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law, for 4th-year students majoring in "World Economy" and "International Economic Relations".

During the competition, practical tasks were given to design a model for a single product, service, or industry sector that Uzbekistan could successfully develop and sell in international markets by 2035. Divided into 5 teams, the students prepared their projects and defended their strategies through Q&A sessions.

Projects were evaluated by the judge based on criteria such as innovation and originality of ideas, international market potential, Uzbekistan's competitive advantages, practical implementation (production, financing, export), and expected economic impact (creation of new jobs, investments, and export volume).

This Ideathon fully aligns with the goals of SDG 4 — “Quality Education”, developing students' practical skills in international investment, analytical thinking, and formulating legal-economic strategies. Furthermore, the event promotes SDG 8 — “Decent Work and Economic Growth” and SDG 9 — “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure”, aiming to enhance the country's investment attractiveness and export potential.
