UWED Rector Discusses Expanding Practical Cooperation with the Commander of the Mississippi National Guard

Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, met with Major General Bobby Ginn, Commander of the Mississippi National Guard, United States.

The discussion focused on the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, as well as opportunities to further develop practical cooperation with the State of Mississippi.

Particular attention was paid to the partnership programme between Uzbekistan and the Mississippi National Guard, which has been in place since 2012. The programme encompasses specialist exchanges, joint exercises and emergency preparedness activities.

The meeting also explored opportunities to expand cooperation in emergency response, search and rescue operations, critical infrastructure protection and specialist training.
