UWED Professor Leads Independence Lesson at the University of Public Security

In the first days of the academic year, holding “Independence Lessons” in all of our country's educational institutions has become a cherished tradition. These lessons serve to further instill in the hearts of the younger generation a sense of love and devotion to the Motherland, and a deep awareness of the historical significance of our national independence and its invaluable role in our present-day development.

In this spirit, an “Independence Lesson” was organized at the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the motto “Independence: A Historical Dream and a Great Blessing”.

The event featured Professor Kadyr Juraev of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a Doctor of Political Sciences, who delivered a lecture to the cadets on the topic “A New Uzbekistan on the World Map: Reforms, Opportunities, and Prospects”.

The lecture provided detailed information on how Uzbekistan has taken its rightful place in the world community during its years of independence, how our country is integrating ever more deeply into the system of international relations, and how a proactive, open, pragmatic, and peace-loving foreign policy based on national interests is being consistently pursued.

Special attention was also given to Uzbekistan's initiatives to strengthen peace, stability, and a good-neighborly atmosphere in Central Asia, elevate regional cooperation to a new level, and its diversified foreign trade relations and effective economic diplomacy.

During the lesson, in addition to our country's foreign policy achievements, there was an exchange of views on such pressing tasks as further deepening regional cooperation in Central Asia, diversifying transport and logistics corridors, making broad use of the opportunities of digital diplomacy, effectively harnessing the potential of cultural diplomacy and “soft power”, and developing environmental and water diplomacy.

The lecturer stressed that Uzbekistan's current foreign policy is not limited to simply developing diplomatic relations, but is becoming a crucial factor in ensuring the country's security, economic development, international prestige, and national interests.

The cadets gained new insights into Uzbekistan's peaceful foreign policy, its global and regional initiatives, and our country's role and authority on the international stage. The lecture helped them to once again recognize what a great historical blessing independence is, and that preserving and strengthening it is the sacred duty of every generation.

In conclusion, it was particularly emphasized that the prosperity of the Motherland, ensuring its peace and security, and making a worthy contribution to the country's development is one of the most important duties of every citizen, especially the youth preparing for such an honorable profession as a defender of the Fatherland.
