UWED Professor Alisher Faizullaev Takes Up Role at the University of Oxford

Professor Alisher Faizullaev of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) has taken up a new role at the University of Oxford as Diplomatic Practice Co-ordinator for the Foundations of Diplomacy programme in the Department for Continuing Education.
The appointment followed a competitive selection process. In his new role, Professor Faizullaev will teach and provide academic oversight for a number of courses in diplomatic practice, contribute to the further development of the curriculum, design and deliver diplomatic simulations and role-play exercises, maintain and develop links with international organisations, embassies and think tanks, and contribute to the organisation of educational visits in the UK and abroad.
An important element of this work will be the integration of academic learning with practice-oriented education, enabling students to apply their knowledge in simulated professional situations.
“I am delighted to begin a new stage of my professional work at the University of Oxford and look forward to working with colleagues and students from around the world. At the same time, I will continue my academic work at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent,” Professor Faizullaev said.
For UWED, the international academic engagement of its faculty is an important part of developing the university community and strengthening professional and educational links with leading universities around the world.
Professor Faizullaev’s work at the University of Oxford will also create further opportunities for the exchange of contemporary approaches to teaching diplomacy, practice-oriented education, and the preparation of future professionals in international relations.
The University of World Economy and Diplomacy congratulates Professor Alisher Faizullaev on his new appointment and wishes him every success in his academic and teaching work.
