The student exchange program between UWED and Burdur University named after Mehmet Akif Ersoy (MAKÜ) continues

Currently, faculty and students from the Department of European and Turkic Languages at UWED are actively participating in the TÖMER Summer School program, hosted by Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in Burdur, Turkey.

The university's Turkish Language Application and Research Center (MAKÜ TÖMER) is welcoming students and representatives from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) for its summer school program.

This program aims to enhance academic cooperation between UWED and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, strengthen students' language skills, and expand international academic mobility.

Throughout the program, participants have the opportunity to develop their language skills in a practical setting by attending intensive Turkish language classes led by MAKÜ TÖMER specialists.

Alongside the academic curriculum, students are gaining a deeper acquaintance with Turkey's rich history, national values, traditions, and modern life through cultural and educational events, excursions to historical sites, and various social gatherings organized by the university's international relations coordinator. Such activities help participants develop their intercultural communication skills.

The visit also included a meeting with the leadership and key representatives of MAKÜ.  During the discussion, they explored prospects for further expanding academic and cultural cooperation between the two universities, advancing student and faculty exchanges, and implementing joint research projects and future educational programs.

This collaboration is a clear example of the mutual trust and strategic partnership between the two universities and is expected to create a solid foundation for future joint initiatives in education, science, and culture.
