As part of the Enhancing the Online Education System and Developing the Cyber Education Model at UWED” project, implemented with the support of KOICA, a delegation of faculty members from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) visited the Korea National Open University (KNOU) in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The primary objective of the visit is to explore advanced practices in distance education technologies, digital learning platforms, and the development of the Cyber Education model, as well as to expand academic cooperation between the two higher education institutions.

KNOU President Kim Jong-oh emphasized that this program is not merely a short-term experience-sharing initiative, but rather the beginning of a new stage of long-term and productive cooperation, laying a solid foundation for strategic partnership between the two universities.

According to the President, KNOU has accumulated more than 50 years of expertise in distance education and has successfully integrated artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and innovative teaching approaches into its educational processes.

The experience-sharing program is expected to serve as an important platform for launching faculty and student exchange initiatives, implementing joint research projects, and further strengthening cooperation between UWED and KNOU in the field of digital education.
