    The University of World Economy and Diplomacy, having taken part in the international Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings for 2026, received international recognition for its contribution to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

    This ranking is international and assesses the contribution of higher education institutions to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Universities in the ranking are evaluated not only by the results of educational and research activities, but also by their initiatives aimed at ensuring gender equality, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, good governance, international cooperation, as well as the development of society. To date, this ranking is recognized as one of the most authoritative in the world, assessing the activities of universities in the field of sustainable development.

    According to the results of 2026, UWED showed high results in the following areas:

     • Overall Sustainability Impact Rating: 600+

     • SDG 4 – Quality Education: 600+

     • SDG 5 – Gender Equality: 400+

    • SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: 400+

    • SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: 100+

    • SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: 300+

    These results demonstrate the practical effect of systemic reforms carried out at the university in recent years and aimed at improving the quality of education, ensuring gender equality, developing research potential, expanding international cooperation and improving institutional management.

    In particular, the result achieved for SDG 16 – "Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions," confirms the university's commitment to the principles of the rule of law, open and effective governance, academic integrity, and social responsibility.

     UWED in its activities pays special attention to the harmonization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals with the strategy of the university.
