UWED students visited the Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex named after the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On May 3 of the current year, first-year students of the Faculty of International Law at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, as part of their study of the course “Constitutional Law,” visited the Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex named after the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was organized by Nigina Muratovna Azizova, a lecturer of the Department of International Law and Public Law Disciplines, with the aim of deepening students’ knowledge about the formation of statehood in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the development of constitutional foundations, and the role of personality in the history of the state.
During the visit, students ознакомились с экспозицией комплекса, including paintings, portraits, archival photographs, as well as sculptures reflecting the life path and state activities of Islam Karimov. Of particular interest to future international lawyers and diplomats were photographic materials capturing the First President’s meetings with heads of foreign states, as well as his speeches at the podiums of international organizations.
The exhibition made a profound impression on the students, allowing them to better comprehend the historical significance of the reforms carried out and the contribution of Islam Karimov to the development of independent Uzbekistan.
Following the visit, it was decided to revisit the complex after its full opening in order to explore the exhibition in greater detail.
