UWED Second and Third-Year Students Visit the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan

On May 3, 2026, second and third-year students from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. The educational trip was organized by the university's Department of Eastern Languages.

The visit was initiated and led by Arabic language instructor Nigora Azimova.

This initiative aims to broaden the professional horizons of future diplomats and economists by immersing them in the scientific and cultural foundations of the Islamic world. Engaging with authentic artifacts and unique manuscripts allowed the students to place their theoretical knowledge of Eastern languages within a living historical context.       During the visit, students learned about the great scholars of the Islamic world, their scientific heritage, and the significance of the Eastern Renaissance. The insightful commentary and explanations from the center's specialists left a strong impression on the participants.

This educational event not only reinforced the students' theoretical knowledge but also deepened their interest in historical and cultural heritage.
