Developing Cultural Diplomacy Through the Study of Hindi

On April 14, as part of its efforts to implement the Sustainable Development Goals, the Department of Oriental Languages organized a practical workshop on developing cultural diplomacy through the study of Hindi. The event was attended by faculty and students from the Uzbek State University of World Languages who specialize in the Hindi language.
During the workshop, UWED students analyzed the Indian model of sustainable development and discussed the significance of the Baburid historical heritage as a foundation for modern cultural diplomacy.
The workshop program placed special emphasis on an interactive component, which included a comparative lexical analysis where students explored the common roots of Uzbek and Indian words. This form of interaction not only helped reinforce language skills but also facilitated an effective exchange of experience between future specialists from UWED and UzSWLU.
