On April 30, 2026, Presidential Decree No. PF-47 of the Republic of Uzbekistan was adopted. In accordance with this decree, expanding green spaces across the country, establishing botanical and dendrological gardens, and ensuring their preservation through an effective management system were identified as priority tasks. Particular emphasis was also placed on developing scientifically grounded methods for cultivating seedlings suited to the climatic conditions of each region.

The team of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, actively supporting the national project “Green Space” initiated by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is systematically carrying out greening activities across the university campus. In particular, on April 30 of this year, the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages organized a hashar under the slogan “Goodness Will Remain a Garden”. As part of this meaningful initiative, faculty members, community partners, and representatives of the public all contributed to the planting of seedlings.

The primary goal of this event is not only to beautify the university grounds, but also to foster a love for nature among young people and promote environmental awareness. Each seedling planted by first-year students at their place of study symbolizes a contribution to preserving nature and improving the climate in the future.

Planting trees is not merely a tradition, but a vital investment in environmental sustainability and the health of future generations. Every planted seedling contributes to cleaner air and a more stable urban microclimate. It is also worth noting that the “Green Space” project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations General Assembly and aims to restore the balance between humanity and nature.

Transforming our surroundings into green and thriving spaces reflects our shared commitment to national and spiritual values. The newly created green areas within our university and local communities will not only enhance the beauty of our environment but also contribute to climate regulation, nature conservation, and the overall well-being of our people.
