    A literary and educational event was organized to mark the 140th anniversary of the birth of Abdurauf Fitrat

    On May 1 of the current year, students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, together with the faculty members of the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages, organized a literary and educational event dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the prominent representative of Uzbek literature, Abdurauf Fitrat.

    The main purpose of the event was to promote Fitrat’s rich scientific and literary heritage, foster a sense of national identity among youth, and strengthen respect for patriotism and spiritual values.

    As part of the event, a roundtable discussion was held with Associate Professor and literary scholar Shoira Normatova, who shared interesting facts about Fitrat’s life and work, as well as insights from her research. Special attention was given to Fitrat’s role in the Jadid movement and his significant contribution to Uzbek literature, linguistics, and history.

    During the event, students read excerpts from Fitrat’s works and expressed their views on his life and legacy. The event left a strong impression on participants and contributed to enriching their knowledge and worldview.
