On April 30, 2026, a “Leader and Youth” format meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy with third-year students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management.

The event featured an open discussion with O. Yusupjanov, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, A. Turdimatov, Advisor to the Rector, and E. Abdullayev, Dean of the Faculty.

The ceremony commenced with the high-profile recognition of the winners of the VI Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS-2026), recently held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Representing the university with distinction:

• 4 students were awarded Gold Medals;

• 2 students were awarded Silver Medals.

In addition, the students' academic supervisor was officially honored and rewarded by the university administration for their exceptional contribution to this scientific achievement.

During the session, First Vice-Rector O. Yusupjanov briefed students on the current trajectory of national reforms and the evolving requirements for young professionals. Key topics included:

• The necessity of interdisciplinary knowledge and global competitiveness.

• The role of youth in driving the country’s economic and diplomatic agenda.

The meeting transitioned into a vibrant Q&A session where students voiced their ideas and concerns. Major points of discussion included:
