Students of UWED were introduced to the activities of the Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On April 25, 2026, a field training session was organized for students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in cooperation with Kh. Tursunbekov, a responsible employee of the Law Enforcement Academy under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to practically strengthen the subject of “Criminal Procedure Law”. This practical training session was organized by senior lecturer D. Soliev and instructor N. Uzakbaeva, aimed at deepening students' theoretical knowledge through practical testing in a professional environment.
During the visit, students were provided with comprehensive information on the status, functions, and main areas of activity of the Law Enforcement Academy as a specialized scientific and educational institution providing training, retraining, and professional development for prosecution and other law enforcement agencies.
Particular attention was paid to improving criminal procedural activities, introducing modern information technologies into investigative practice, and the role of the Law Enforcement Academy in developing scientific research in criminal proceedings.
Representatives of the Law Enforcement Academy provided detailed information on current aspects of investigative activities, including the organization of pre-trial proceedings, ensuring procedural guarantees for the rights of criminal process participants, and applying innovative methods of criminal investigation. Students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the institution's educational and methodological base, modern training classrooms, and specialized laboratories used for modeling investigative actions.
During the interactive part of the event, a substantive discussion took place, during which students asked a number of questions regarding the practical aspects of applying criminal procedural legislation, the specifics of professional training for investigators and prosecutors, and the prospects for digitalizing criminal proceedings in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Academy representatives provided detailed and well-argued answers, which contributed to the formation of a more holistic understanding of students' future professional activities.
Conducting such field classes is important for forming students' practice-oriented competencies, developing their professional thinking, and strengthening the link between theoretical training and law enforcement practice. The visit to the Law Enforcement Academy became a significant element of the educational process, contributing to improving the quality of training for future international lawyers.
It should be noted that this event also correlates with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proclaimed by the United Nations. In particular, it contributes to the implementation of SDG 4 "Quality Education," providing students with access to modern knowledge, practical experience, and interaction with the professional community. The formation of highly qualified personnel in the field of law is a key condition for the sustainable development of the legal system and the strengthening of state institutions.
Furthermore, the event aligns with SDG 16 “Peace, Justice, and Effective Institutions,” as it contributes to raising legal culture, strengthening trust in law enforcement agencies, and developing the competencies necessary to ensure legality and law and order. Such educational initiatives foster an understanding among students of the importance of the rule of law, the protection of human rights and freedoms, and the role of professional ethics in the activities of a lawyer.
