A masterclass was organized for international law students at UWED

A masterclass on the topic “Establishing Legal Facts in Economic and Civil Courts” was held on April 2, 2026, for students of the Faculty of International Law at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The session was delivered by Shakhnoza Safarova, a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a lecturer at Tashkent State University of Law.
During the masterclass, key aspects of the role of legal facts in civil and economic court proceedings were discussed, including procedural foundations for their determination, criteria for evaluating evidence, and complex cases encountered in judicial practice.
The event was organized by the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law, in particular by Solikha Abdurakhimova. The meeting played an important role in strengthening students’ knowledge of judicial practice, developing analytical thinking, and integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application.
It should be noted that such masterclasses contribute significantly to enhancing students’ skills in applying legal norms, resolving disputes, and gaining a deeper understanding of judicial processes. The seminar also contributes to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), target 16.3, and Goal 17, target 17.6.
