On April 10, 2026, at the initiative of S. Ikramov and Sh. Khamdamova, lecturers from the Department of International Law and Public Law Disciplines at the UWED Faculty of International Law, a round table titled “Guarantees of Children's Rights in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was held. This event, part of the Ombudsman Club's activities, featured the participation of Surayyo Makhmudovna Rakhmonova, the Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Rights of the Child (Children's Ombudsman).

Professors and lecturers from the department, club members, and first- and second-year students actively participated in the event. During the round table, students gained a deeper understanding of the activities of the Children's Ombudsman institution, its powers, and its role in protecting children's rights.

In her speech, Surayyo Rakhmonova used practical examples to provide students with detailed information about the main areas of activity, goals, and objectives of the Children's Ombudsman's Office, as well as its achievements. She also gave special attention to the current problems and gaps in the field of children's rights and the measures being taken to address them. This, in turn, sparked great interest among the participants. During the discussion, club members and undergraduate students asked the Children's Ombudsman various questions on the topic and put forward their proposals on contentious issues.

Events like these help students acquire new practical knowledge and skills, as well as broaden their thinking and worldview. At the conclusion of the round table, the prospects for cooperation and future plans between the UWED Ombudsman Club and the Office of the Children's Ombudsman were discussed in detail.
