At the initiative of the JIDU Women’s Advisory Council, a promotional and awareness event on the topic “Combating violence and harassment” was organized among students within the framework of “Thursday – Prevention Day” and Youth Day.

The event was attended by Senior Inspector of the Internal Affairs Department of Mirzo Ulugbek district, Lieutenant Colonel F.S. Djumanazarova, as well as the Chairperson of the University Women’s Advisory Council, E. Sultanova. During the meeting, issues related to the prevention of offenses, crimes, and negative incidents occurring in society were discussed.

Additionally, participants were informed about the procedures for receiving appeals from women, promptly reviewing them, and providing legal solutions. Legal consultations were provided to applicants.

Within the framework of the event, detailed information was given about protection orders issued to individuals subjected to violence and harassment, the procedure for issuing them, the restrictions imposed by such orders, and liability measures in case of violation in accordance with the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, awareness activities on cybercrime and its prevention were also conducted.

The main goal of the event is to enhance the legal culture and legal awareness of women and youth, as well as to prevent cases of violence and harassment in society.
