UWED Representatives Participated in The “IAC Young Eurasia Arbitration Week ” and the “6th IAC Vis Pre-Moot” International Competition

From March 2 to 6, 2026, the UWED Vis Moot team took part in the IAC Young Eurasia Arbitration Week and the international competition “6th IAC Vis Pre-Moot”. The team included students of the Faculty of International Law Kamronbek Shermetov, Aziza Normakhammatova, Aziza Rakhmatullayeva, and Noila Pardayeva as well as their coaches, the academic staff of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law..
Within the framework of the international competition, the team demonstrated a high level of preparation, ranked among the top four teams in Central Asia and the Caucasus, and was recognized as one of the strongest teams representing the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The team was guided and trained by representatives of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law head of the Department Sherzodbek Masadikov, professor Dilfuza Imamova, and trainee-lecturer Alisher Bobonazarov.
In addition, Professor Dilfuza Imamova participated in the “6th IAC Vis Pre-Moot” as an arbitrator in international commercial arbitration, actively contributing to the evaluation of participants’ performances. This highlights the high level of engagement of the university’s academic staff in the international academic and professional training of students.
This success demonstrates the high level of preparation of UWED students in the field of international arbitration and commercial law, as well as their competitiveness in the international arena.
This achievement is directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In particular, it corresponds to Goal 16 “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” including target 16.3 – ensuring the rule of law and equal access to justice.
At the same time, the result contributes to Goal 17 “Partnerships for the Goals,” including target 17.6 – enhancing international cooperation and knowledge sharing, target 17.16 – strengthening global partnerships, and target 17.17 – promoting effective cooperation among public, private, and academic sectors.
This result confirms that UWED provides training of highly qualified specialists in accordance with international standards and contributes to further strengthening the university’s international academic reputation.
