On February 25 of this year, an academic seminar was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) by Professor Mr. Haba from Nagoya University of Economics (Japan) on the topic “AI & Data Science — Image-Based Analysis of Stock Prices and Machine Learning”.

The seminar was attended by students of the faculties of International Economic Relations and Management. During the lecture, the professor presented modern approaches to the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods in financial market analysis, with special emphasis on image-processing technologies used for forecasting stock price dynamics.

The practical part of the seminar included a demonstration of Python tools, the Yahoo Finance platform for obtaining financial data, and the Matplotlib library for visualizing and analyzing market dynamics. Students became familiar with the process of data collection, chart construction, interpretation of visual patterns, and the application of machine learning models for forecasting.

Participants discussed the prospects for integrating data science approaches into economic research, investment analytics, and managerial decision-making. Particular interest was shown in the possibilities of automating chart analysis and improving the accuracy of predictive models using open digital tools.

The seminar was held as part of the expanding academic cooperation between UWED and Japanese universities in the fields of digital economy, artificial intelligence, and the training of next-generation specialists.
