In line with the priorities of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the spiritual and educational sphere, consistent efforts are being carried out to foster a healthy worldview among young people and to protect them from various destructive and alien ideologies.

One such significant event was organized at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy through the cooperation of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Mirzo Ulugbek District Administration, and the Tashkent City Center for Enlightenment and Advocacy. The event was held under the slogan “Enlightenment Against Ignorance” with the participation of university students and staff.

The event featured a keynote lecture by I. Marupov, Press Secretary of the Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Adviser on Information Policy, as well as a recipient of the “Shuhrat” Medal. In his address, he elaborated on the importance of protecting the younger generation from extremist and radical views in the context of globalization, enhancing religious literacy, and combating ignorance through enlightenment.

Throughout the event, special attention was paid to developing young people’s independent thinking skills and strengthening their respect for national and universal values, love for the Motherland, and a sense of dedication and patriotism. In addition, the negative consequences of misguided ideological beliefs and the necessity of increasing vigilance against various ideological threats present in the information space were emphasized.

Furthermore, professional ethics and dedication to work were highlighted as key themes of the event. It was noted that by fulfilling professional duties responsibly, working with honesty and integrity, and demonstrating loyalty to one’s profession, every specialist can make a достой contribution to the development of society.
