The team of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) took part in the international open student Olympiad in mathematics "Sibirian Mathematical Contest", which took place at Novosibirsk State University (Russia). This Olympiad is one of the most authoritative international mathematical competitions and annually brings together students from leading universities from different countries.

UWED was represented by a team consisting of four 1st year students of the Faculty of International Economics and Management. The head of the team was the senior lecturer of the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modeling, Turdiev Shodmon Rozimurotovich, who provided academic and organizational support for the participants.

Participation in the Olympiad allowed students to demonstrate a high level of fundamental mathematical training, gain experience in solving complex Olympiad problems, as well as expand international academic and professional contacts.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the results were officially announced, according to which the UWED team showed high and competitive results. The silver medal was awarded to the student Abdulkhamidov Izzatbek, three more team members - Egamberdiev Maksadbek, Bakhtiyov Nurbek and Erkinov Behruzbek - won bronze medals. In addition, the UWED team was awarded a bronze medal in the team event, which indicates well-coordinated teamwork and a stable overall result.

The success achieved confirms the high level of mathematical training of UWED students, the effectiveness of the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modeling, as well as the importance of early involvement of first-year students in international academic and Olympiad formats.
