Chess tournament is held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy

From January 3 to January 7, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy is hosting an open chess tournament that brings together fans of this intellectual game from different mahallas of the capital. The tournament is organized in cooperation with the COUNTERGAMBIT club and the UWED Sports Club.
The tournament became a real celebration of chess, bringing together both experienced veterans and talented young people under one roof. Residents of mahallas attached to the UWED, as well as chess players from all over Tashkent, take an active part in the competition:

• MSA Elobod
• MSA Buyuk Ipak Yuli
The main goal of the tournament is to promote a healthy lifestyle and intellectual sports among the population of all ages. That is why the geography and age range of the competition are so wide: participants from 7 to 70 years old meet at the chessboards. The tournament not only reveals the strongest, but also serves to strengthen friendly ties between residents of different districts of the city.
The struggle for the title of the best chess player is held at a high level, each game is a clash of strategies, logic and the will to win.
At the end of the tournament, winners and prize-winners in various categories will be awarded diplomas, medals and memorable gifts from the organizers.
