Students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy demonstrated high results at the city stage of the Five Initiatives Olympiad. These competitions are held at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people and increase interest in physical culture and sports.

The city stage of the Olympiad took place on November 12-13 at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The strongest teams selected from 37 higher educational institutions of group A took part in the competition.

The UWED women's volleyball team won the honorable II place, which was a natural result of regular training and well-coordinated work of the team. The men's volleyball team, showing resilience and skill in the face of fierce competition, took third place, becoming an example of high sports culture.

The success achieved confirms the high level of physical and psychological training of our athletes. The university administration and the sports club congratulate the teams on their victory and wish them new achievements in the upcoming competitions.
