A master class on "Inheritance Law in Islam" was held at UWED

On November 4 of this year, a master class on the topic “Inheritance Law in Islam” was held for fourth-year students of the Faculty of International Law. The session was conducted by Associate Professor of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Saidafzal Saidjalolov, Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Sciences.
The purpose of the lecture was to develop in students a deep understanding of the essence, fundamental principles, and practical significance of inheritance law (faraiz), which is one of the key branches of the Islamic legal system.
During the session, the concepts of “inheritance” and “faraiz,” their place in the science of fiqh, and their Sharia foundations were analyzed based on the sources of Islamic law. The expert provided a scholarly explanation of the legal aspects of the main elements of inheritance law (the deceased, the heir, and the inherited property), the conditions for its application, and the legal grounds for inheritance (kinship, marriage, and wala).
Throughout the lecture, students refined their analytical reasoning, strengthened their interpretation of legal provisions, and practiced applying them to real situations. At the end of the session, general conclusions were drawn about the close interrelation between the Islamic inheritance law system and modern legal practice, as well as its role in ensuring social stability and justice.
The master class contributes to the development of students’ legal thinking, enhances their interest in the scholarly study of Islamic legal sources, and promotes the strengthening of their legal culture.
