A Seminar on Modern Methods of Statistical Analysis held at UWED

On November 4, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted an academic seminar organized by the Department of Systems Analysis and Mathematical Modeling with the participation of Professor Abdullah Maedh Moslih Almarashi from King Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia). The session was held online via the Zoom platform.
In his presentation, Professor Almarashi shared the results of his research devoted to modern approaches in statistical modeling and time-series analysis. In particular, he discussed the construction of new families of probability distributions, the development of hybrid forecasting models, and their applications in the fields of economics, finance, and medicine.
The seminar was attended by faculty members and researchers of the department, as well as distinguished guests — Dr. Mersaid Aripov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, and Honored Scientist of Uzbekistan (National University of Uzbekistan), and Professor O. Sh. Sharipov, Head of the Department of Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics at the National University of Uzbekistan.
Participants highlighted the high academic quality of the presentation and expressed their interest in further cooperation between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and King Abdulaziz University in the field of applied statistics and mathematical modeling.
