UWED students at the following degree levels may apply for the Presidential State Scholarship.
Bachelor's Students
- Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan
- Full-time bachelor's students with excellent academic performance throughout the entire period of study
- At least two published research works relevant to the field of study
- Active participation in scientific or creative activities
- Knowledge of the state language, one foreign language and the history of Uzbekistan
- Knowledge of information technologies in accordance with requirements established by the Ministry
Master's Students
- Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan
- Full-time master's students with excellent grades in all subjects throughout the entire period of study
- At least two published works
- Participation in conferences or competitions
- Knowledge of the state language, one foreign language and the history of Uzbekistan
- Knowledge of information technologies in accordance with requirements established by the Ministry
Basic Doctoral Students
- Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan
- Final-year basic doctoral students
- At least two published works in leading scientific journals
- Publications in international conference materials
- Dissertation readiness of at least 70%
- Excellent results in qualification exams
- Knowledge of the state language, one foreign language and the history of Uzbekistan
Selection Process
Required Documents
- Copy of transcript
- Recommendation from the School Dean's Office and department
- Recommendation from the research or academic supervisor
- List of scientific works and copies of publications
- Documents confirming participation in conferences, competitions or academic events
- Certificates from the language department and history department, where applicable
- Documents confirming achievements, awards, patents or other relevant results
All documents are submitted in a folder. The cover should indicate the scholarship name, the candidate's full name, faculty, programme, year and group.
Assessment Criteria

Minimum passing threshold for the test stage: 55% of the maximum possible score.
Benefits
Official Certificate
Recipients of the Presidential State Scholarship are awarded the certificate "Prezident stipendiyasining sohibi".
Direct Path to Doctoral Studies
Master's recipients are admitted to basic doctoral studies within two years after graduation, without entrance examinations and on the basis of the State Budget.
Direct Path to Master's Programme
Bachelor's recipients are admitted to a relevant master's programme within two years after graduation, without competition and on the basis of an additional state grant.
