Islam Karimov State Scholarship
The Islam Karimov State Scholarship is a prestigious named state scholarship awarded to talented bachelor's students who demonstrate excellent academic performance, participation in scientific or creative work, and strong achievements in their field of study.
Awarded to students studying in the last two years of bachelor's programmes, including students of joint educational programmes. One student is selected from each higher education institution.

Bachelor's students of UWED may apply for the Islam Karimov State Scholarship if they meet the official eligibility requirements for named state scholarships. Candidates should demonstrate:
- excellent academic performance
- participation in scientific or creative work
- participation in conferences or competitions in relevant fields
- knowledge of the history of Uzbekistan
- knowledge of the state language and one foreign language
- if the bachelor's field of study is a foreign language, knowledge of an additional foreign language may be required
Selection Process
Required Documents
- Copy of academic transcript
- Recommendation from Dean's Office and department
- Recommendation from scientific or creative work supervisor
- List of scientific works and printed copies
- Certificates from language and history departments on interview results
All documents are submitted in a folder with cover indicating the scholarship name, candidate's full name, faculty, programme and year.
Assessment Criteria

Minimum passing threshold for the test stage: 55% of the maximum possible score.
Benefits
Named State Certificate
Recipients of the Islam Karimov State Scholarship are awarded the certificate "Islom Karimov nomli davlat stipendiyasining sohibi".
Formal Award Ceremony
Certificates are presented in a formal ceremony at the student's place of study.
Direct Path to Master's Programme
Named scholarship recipients are admitted to a relevant master's programme within one year after graduation, without competition and on the basis of an additional state grant.
