On October 17, 2025, a meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) with Professor Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu, Rector of Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University of Türkiye, and Professor Abdumalik Tuychibayev.

The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev, and First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Akram Umarov.

Professor Ali Cengiz emphasized that his visit to Uzbekistan took place within the framework of the 8th General Assembly of the “Union of Turkic Universities (TURKUNIB)” and noted that this initiative serves to unite higher education institutions of Turkic countries and strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation among young people.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the expansion of cooperation in joint educational programs, research projects, student and faculty exchanges, as well as in the activities of the Turkish Language Center.

In addition, proposals were made to establish a joint faculty in the field of law, to teach certain subjects in Turkish, and to develop cooperation in the field of digital diplomacy.

Both parties expressed their readiness to further expand stable, effective, and long-term cooperation.
