Within the framework of cooperation established between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) and the prestigious Princeton in Asia (PiA) organization of the United States for the 2025–2026 academic year, on October 13, 2025, the PiA leadership, sponsors, board members, and alumni visited UWED. During the visit, the guests were warmly welcomed by the university’s First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, A. Umarov, and the university community.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of existing cooperation and prospects for its further expansion. The PiA representatives were provided with detailed information about UWED’s main activities, international relations, and development strategies. As part of the visit, a special presentation on current socio-political processes in Central Asia was shown to the guests, followed by a question-and-answer session.

In addition, opinions were exchanged regarding the experiences of two PiA fellows currently working at UWED, Sergio Castagnoli and Julia Davies. The parties emphasized that such initiatives strengthen intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding while expanding opportunities for international exchange of experience among specialists.

For reference, the PiA (Princeton in Asia) program was established in 1898 at Princeton University and is aimed at promoting education, cultural exchange, and cooperation between Asia and the United States. In 2025, the organization began its activities in Uzbekistan for the first time, and this process was launched precisely at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
