On August 18 of this year, a meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) with a delegation of Huawei headed by Tan Syaosyan, Director of Huawei in Uzbekistan. The guests were met by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the UWED Sodyq Safoev.

 During the talks, the parties discussed promising areas of partnership in the field of digitalization of education, training and the introduction of advanced technologies in the educational process.

The key topic of the meeting was the development of ICT Academy on the basis of UWED, within the framework of which it is planned to introduce specialized Huawei courses, certification of students and teachers, as well as the participation of the company's experts in the university's educational programs. Particular attention was paid to the practical training of students - in the near future, a series of master classes and trainings will be organized with the involvement of Huawei specialists. 

Another important area of cooperation will be the "Seeds for the Future" program, which provides UWED students with the opportunity to undergo international internships. The parties also discussed the expansion of the university's participation in this program.

Special attention was paid to the professional development of teachers - Huawei offered UWED joint professional development programs in the field of ICT and digital technologies. 

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to formalize cooperation through the signing of an Action Plan Agreement, which will identify specific steps for joint projects in the areas of digital transformation, innovation and student development.

This partnership underscores UWED's commitment to developing digital education, strengthening innovation infrastructure, and training highly qualified graduates for the digital economy, in collaboration with the world's leading technology companies.
