On May 5-7 of this year, a meeting of 1st year students with the teaching staff of the Department of Oriental and Romance-Germanic Languages was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, during which a presentation of second foreign languages took place.

Representatives of language departments spoke about language training at UWED, about the features of learning each of the 12 foreign languages offered.

The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to get information about native speakers of a foreign language teaching at the departments, about the possibility of participating in exchange academic programs, as well as about the educational and methodological equipment of the departments.

In turn, the teaching staff of the Department of Oriental and Romano-Germanic Languages noted that the teaching of each foreign language corresponds to the direction of training and is aimed at the formation of students' foreign language professional competencies in various fields: political, economic, legal, informational, cultural. It is also based on authentic materials, taking into account the most current trends in teaching foreign languages.
