UWED Faculty and Students Attend the Enigma Flamenco Concert

On October 30, 2026, faculty and students from the Department of European and Turkic Languages at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy attended the Enigma Flamenco concert in Tashkent.
The event offered a wonderful opportunity to experience the richness of Spanish culture through one of its most renowned art forms—flamenco.
Participants included the department's Spanish language instructors—Nargiza Kudratullaevna Khairullaeva, Makhbuba Bakhodirovna Sadikova, Kamola Bakhtiyarovna Mukhamedova, and Inmaculada Velasco Gómez—as well as students studying Spanish.
The concert allowed the attendees to appreciate the distinctive character of flamenco, which seamlessly blends music, singing, guitar playing, and dance. Attending such cultural events complements academic studies, broadens students' horizons, and fosters a deeper understanding of the connection between Spain's language, history, and national traditions.
Furthermore, engaging with Spanish cultural heritage helps develop intercultural competence, boosts motivation for language learning, and promotes international mutual understanding.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11) and helps foster interethnic harmony, advance cultural dialogue, and strengthen friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Spain.
