On November 3, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Taldau AI Analytics.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening regional cooperation, advancing joint research, and training specialists in international relations, diplomacy, and modern technologies.

Particular attention was given to Ashimbayev's initiative to establish the Central Asian School of Analytics—a unified expert and educational platform bringing together specialists from the five countries of the region. Its activities are expected to cover regional trade, investment, water diplomacy, and sustainable development, as well as the application of artificial intelligence and Big Data analytics.

As the first phase of this initiative, a proposal was made to hold an educational program in Almaty in the spring of 2027, bringing together 50 specialists from across Central Asia.

The Rector of UWED endorsed the initiative and outlined the university's priority research areas, including international security, water diplomacy, regional identity, AI Governance, and the application of artificial intelligence in diplomacy.

The parties also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between UWED and leading universities and think tanks in Kazakhstan, implement joint research projects, and draft practical recommendations for government agencies across the region.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to further develop the initiative to establish the Central Asian School of Analytics and to draft a phased implementation plan.
