UWED Hosts Meeting with Writers as Part of the “Ma’rifat ulashib” Project

A creative meeting between writers and students was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy as part of the “Ma’rifat ulashib” project. The event aimed to encourage students to read, enhance their literary literacy and reading culture, and foster a spirit of patriotism and commitment to the nation's future among the younger generation.
Members of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan—Mehri Abdurakhmonova, Shodi Otamurod, and Asror Muminov—attended the meeting and spoke with the students about the role of literature, creativity, reading, and spirituality in human life.
During the discussion, special emphasis was placed on the importance of fiction in broadening young people's worldviews, developing their critical thinking and eloquence, and helping them understand noble values and national identity. The authors shared their life and creative experiences, offering advice on how to cultivate an interest in books, maintain regular reading habits, and reflect on the works they read.
Throughout the warm and engaging conversation, students had the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas with the authors, and gain insights from their perspectives and experiences.
Such meetings play a vital role in enhancing the spiritual and intellectual potential of young people, cultivating a reading culture, deepening their interest in national literature, and shaping them into active, patriotic individuals invested in the future of their country.
