In March 2026, A.Sekerova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of English Language of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, conducted English language lessons dedicated to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for first-year students.

As part of SDG 1 (No Poverty), students explored the causes and consequences of poverty and discussed possible ways to reduce it. The lessons also addressed environmental pollution, climate change, and the sustainable use of natural resources in connection with SDGs 12, 13, 14, and 15.

During practical activities, students prepared projects and presentations, sharing their findings in English. The lessons helped raise awareness of global challenges while strengthening students’ critical thinking and communication skills.
