Masterclass on the Conclusion of International Treaties Held

On 21 October 2026, a masterclass entitled “Conclusion of International Treaties” was held for fourth-year students of the Faculty of International Law as part of the course “Law of Treaties.” The session was conducted by Murodilla Rixsiboev, Head of the Multilateral Treaties Division of the Treaty and Legal Department.
During the masterclass, students received detailed explanations of the procedures involved in drafting and negotiating international treaties, adopting and authenticating treaty texts, as well as signing and ratifying treaties. The session also explored the legal and practical aspects of concluding and acceding to multilateral international treaties.
In his lecture, Murodilla Rixsiboev emphasized the important role of international treaties in regulating relations between States and providing a legal framework for international cooperation. Drawing on practical examples, he also discussed contemporary trends in drafting multilateral treaties and the specific challenges encountered in practice.
At the end of the session, students had the opportunity to ask questions, receive detailed answers, and exchange views on the topics discussed. The masterclass helped strengthen students’ understanding of the law of treaties, bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and further develop their professional competencies.
