Social, Psychological and Educational Meetings Held at UWED as Part of the “First-Year Student School” Project

As part of the “First-Year Student School” project, social and psychological meetings were organized throughout the week for first-year students who began their studies at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in the 2026/2027 academic year. The meetings were held within the framework of the spiritual and educational direction in cooperation with the faculties and the Center for Five Important Initiatives.
The meetings focused primarily on the topic of “Social and Psychological Adaptation to the University Environment and Support for Students’ Psychological Well-Being.”
With the participation of University Psychologist N. Norova, the meetings addressed students’ adaptation to the new university environment, effective communication, the development of mutual respect and healthy relationships, as well as strengthening psychological resilience.
Students were also provided with information about the activities of the university psychologist, the main areas of psychological support services, and the opportunity to receive individual psychological consultations when necessary. Practical recommendations were provided on managing emotional states, developing stress resilience, understanding personal boundaries, and building constructive communication skills.
The meetings were conducted in an open and interactive format. Students actively participated in the discussions, asked questions of interest to them, and shared their views and feedback on the topics discussed.
At the conclusion of the meetings, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of supporting students’ successful social and psychological adaptation to university life, strengthening their psychological well-being, and fostering a healthy and positive social environment based on mutual respect within the university.
These meetings represented an important component of the university’s systematic efforts to support students’ active integration into university life, develop their social and psychological competencies, and contribute to the formation of a healthy university environment.
