Event Held on the Topic “Today's Girl – Tomorrow's Leader: Ways to Overcome Stereotypes”

At the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, an event on the topic "Current Issues in Overcoming Family Stereotypes Persisting in Society" was organized at the initiative of the Advisory Council on Women's Affairs.

The event was opened by Professor E. Sultanova, Chair of the UWED Advisory Council on Women's Affairs. In her speech, she particularly emphasized that the Head of State is creating broad opportunities for the comprehensive support of women, for enhancing their role and standing in society, and for enabling them to receive education and fully realize their potential. She also highlighted the importance of reconsidering outdated family attitudes that still occur in society, establishing mutual respect and equal relations within the family, and fostering a conscious civic position among female students.

The event was attended by guests Sh. Shakirova, Deputy Khokim (Mayor) of Mirzo Ulugbek District, and family psychologist Barnokhon Karimova. The guests shared their views and experience regarding the origins of stereotypes in family relations, their impact on personal and social development, and ways to overcome them.

Talented female students of the university enriched the event programme with their performances, giving the meeting a special atmosphere.

In addition, the activities of the Leader Girls Club were presented to first-year students as part of the meeting. The students became closely acquainted with the club's goals and objectives, its main areas of activity, and its projects aimed at developing girls' leadership potential.

The event was held in a spirit of open dialogue and warmth, and aroused great interest among the participants. Such meetings serve to broaden young students' worldview, encourage a critical perspective on pressing social issues, and help shape an active civic stance.
