UWED Rector Meets with OSCE Secretary General

Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, met with Feridun Sinirlioğlu, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the President, efforts to strengthen state institutions, the consistent development of a good-neighborly policy, and the creation of a stable atmosphere in Central Asia based on mutual trust.

The current state and practical areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE were highly praised. It was noted that the OSCE supports the democratic transformations and open regional policy in our country.

During the conversation, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation through parliamentary structures and expert platforms, as well as in the fields of education and organizing joint events.
