A UWED representative participated in an international advanced training program on competition law

A lecturer of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Solikha Abdurakhimova, participated in a specialized advanced training program on competition law organized by the National Law University, Jodhpur (India), within the framework of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program of the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
The program, held from March 8 to 20, 2026, aimed to deepen professional knowledge and enhance practical skills in key areas of competition law. During the program, international experts and leading specialists provided comprehensive insights into the core mechanisms of applying competition law in the modern economic environment.
The training covered theoretical foundations of competition law, anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominant position, merger control, as well as specific features of competition law in the context of the digital economy. In addition, important topics such as public policy and sectoral regulation, public procurement systems, and the future development of global competition law were discussed.
This program contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 16 - “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” specifically target 16.3 on promoting the rule of law, as well as Goal 17, especially target 17.6, aimed at enhancing international cooperation in science, technology, and innovation and expanding knowledge exchange.
